With a smirk, the mischievous middle school boy Nishikata glances over at Takagi, the girl seated next to him in class. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san was nominated for the 10th Manga Taisho Award in 2017 and placed 10th in the final ranking. The manga won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category in 2021, along with Chainsaw Man. The series was published in English as Teasing Master Takagi-san by Yen Press from July 24, 2018, to March 25, 2025. It has also been released in Argentina by Panini Comics, and in Spain by Editorial Ivrea since April 2, 2019.
